Baggage Headaches And Others

After taking about a few hours (felt like a whole day) of trying to pack my all my clothes which includes my formals, my new New Balance running shoe (that I got at a discount), my new pairs of Renoma sports underwears - my first time buying it! - and some other stuff into three bags; more specifically, two checked bags and one carry-on bag.

Checked bags are those that you don't carry with you when you sit in the airplane, limited to 23kg each while the carry-on is limited to only 3-4kg.

Mine? Well, I borrowed one HUGE luggage bag (the ones with wheels) from my dear roommate, Victor Koo and filled it up almost to the maximum of 22kg, give or take 1 kg :D. Then I have the other small Deuter bag filled up with spices that Hann Huei's parents gave (that took 2kg >.<) and my favourite Instant Cereal Milo and some toiletries; that alone is 8kg! Those are my checked baggage, my carry-on is about 7kg - it has my novel and First Aid book - giving a total of a bloody 37kg! That's more than half of what I weigh! My goodness, is this normal or am I behaving like a girl? No offence intended =P.

Hon Mun told me he's reserving an empty checked bag for his girlfriend's gifts... Haha, talk about love... I'm not going to comment on this although I'm not going to see her for 4 months... XD

With only a few hours left before I depart for US on my first ever trip on a plane - there are lots of firsts these days, no? - I can barely contain my excitement... In fact, I'm already reading the novel by Arthur C. Clarke which I'm supposed to be reading on the plane! I bought it just for this occasion... Here's another first, it's my first novel ever purchased with my own cash... Cost me RM30+... I usually got mine free from the net and reading it off my lovely Palm TX but I wanted to have a feel of reading it from a paperback novel... It feels great! XD
